Les Adams: I plan to work for an electrician, I do not plan to go to any school.
Joy Amonson: I hope to go to LaJames at Ft. Dodge in January.
Jan Anderson: I plan to attend Waldorf College and take up Drafting or Architecture. 2024-Married & my wife’s name is Betsy. · We both graduated from Iowa State University. After graduating, I lived in Portland,OR & Hawaii prior to moving to Coeur d’Alene, ID. Have lived in Coeur d’Alene, ID for the past 37 yrs. · We’re both retired. I had been in the Sporting Goods industry for over 40 years. My last job before retirement was, Territory Sales Manager for Under Armour’s Team Sports division. Betsy worked for Kootenai County (here in Cd’A, ID), as an Administrator Supervisor until her retirement.
Richard Anderson: I plan to attend the University of Natal, South Arica, studying Business.
Tom Anderson: I am working at Hagies.
Michele Barrick: I am planning to attend Iowa Central at Webster City and go into teaching. (Michelle is deceased, see In Memoriam page)
Susan Bennett: I plan to attend Wartburg College and major in Psychology.
Jim Borel: I plan to attend Iowa State University next fall and will major in Agricultural Business.
Jane Brandt: I plan to get married and then go to college to become a cosmetologist.
John Brauer: I plan to attend the University of Iowa and go into pre-dentistry.
Dalene Bubeck: I plan to major in music next year at ISU.
Vickie Jo Burras: I am going to Iowa Lutheran School of Nursing in Des Moines.
Arlis Carpenter: I plan to travel this summer and find work this fall. 2024-Married May 18, 1979. Windowed March 18, 2008. I have one son and two step children, three grandsons and one great grandson. Moved to Des Moines in 1975, employed at Principal Financial Group from January 25, 1975 until I retired April 30, 2018. I live on an acreage outside of Des Moines. I crochet, knit, like making jams and jellies, garden, going on vacations and just enjoy life. It's been an adventure.
Dani Cellan: I will attend DMACC in Ankeny.
Carol Chantrill: I plan to attend the Area Community College at Boone and major in recreational specialist. 2024, Attended Junior College in Boone 1974 – 75. Chuck Hoyt, my best friend, and I were married in December of 1974 – blessed with two children; although divorced in 2000, we remained friends. Toni our daughter, is married, has two twin boys, as empty nesters reside in Marshalltown, Iowa. Rodney, our son, is married, has a daughter and a son, the couple and son reside in Clarion Iowa while the daughter is career driven. As a couple, Chuck and I owned businesses in Clarion, Iowa for approximately 20 years. The Cornerstone: Snow removal, Chuck often assisted others with mechanical needs, and I catered. Hobbies included racing and spending many weekends at Construction Rodeos’ I went on to earn a master’s and PhD degree in Psychology, Counseling and Law. Serving on numerous Boards – including the National Homeless; Rehabilitation and Recovery for Addicts in Recovery. Co – facilitate Bible studies for the Church. Working at some non-profit agencies with a focus on Rehabilitation and Recovery; taught many classes on recovery; and the correlating factors to addiction. Have traveled throughout the United States other than the Northeast Corner (New York -not my thing); Mexico and planning an Israel trip. One year spent a summer at the four corners of the United States with other professionals: an overall adventure on coping and the recovery process- guiding disadvantaged youth through the process of change. Currently consulting and will continue to work in the field I have a passion for. Forever, working on the perfect BBQ!
Dave Chapman: I plan to go int the air force.
Jane Chapman: I have a job as secretary at Lindsey Soft Water.
Matt Cook: I plan to attend Iowa State next fall majoring in Political Science or Journalism. 2024-After graduating from ISU in 1980 ( I took two years off in the middle), I moved to Seattle. I bought a house in 1985. Married Niels Nielsen in March of 2020…..during the height of covid. That makes for a lot of good stories. We moved to Edmonds, Wa (just north of Seattle), in Oct of 2022 . Niels finally works from home (yay !!) and we have an overly rambunctious puppy.
Joan Cramer: I will be attending Iowa State University and will be majoring in engineering. 2024-Bob and I have been married for 17 years. I have 4 stepsons and 6 grand kids, aged 15 to 3. I worked for Potlatch for 19 years as a project or civil engineer. Then moved to the cites and worked for Ibberson as a structural engineer. I got transferred to Lenexa Kansas into their Kiewit office. I was lucky enough to work from our Nisswa, MN for the last 1 1/2 years of my career. Since then I live in my flower gardens in the summer, and travel someplace warm in the winter.
Mark Cramer:I plan to attend Central College in Pella and will play football while there.
Dave Delger: I plan to attend Waldorf and ill go into Accounting .
Jayne Evans: I plan to attend Westmar College and major in Elementary Education.
John Fletcher: I plan to work for a year or so, then maybe go into the service. I will be employed full time at Fletcher's DX. 2024-Kathy and I live on an acreage along the Boone river north of Goldfield. We have 5 children and 12 grandchildren. We are both retired. We enjoy taking care of the acreage, gardening, hunting, fishing and hanging out with family and friends.
Phil Fraser: I plan to work at Hagies this summer and then go to school at Eagle Grove this fall.
Terry Gaedke: I plan to work in town for a couple of years then go into the air force.
Bryan Gardner I plan to attend a pottery workshop in Colorado.
Donna Gaster I plan to work awhile, then get married. 2024-I married my best friend Don.in November if 1974. We lived in Clarion until we started farming we moved to Dows in 1976. I worked at the Clarion hospital for 6 years then I had our 2 kids. I then went back to work doing different jobs I then went back to work in the hospital kitchen. I work there for about 4 years when we then moved to Eagle Grove. In 1988 I then started working at Iowa Testing Labs for 13 years. In 2002 I then went to Hamilton Community hospital as a Certified Pharmacy Technician. I worked there for almost 20 years. I was retired for about 5 months and was bored so I went to work at the Prestage cafeteria doing dishes. I am planning on completely retiring this year.
Kim Gaulke: I am now employed at the Clarmond Country Club, I have no future plans for this fall.
Randy Grover: I plan to attend Waldorf College and would like to become a CPA.
Pete Hawkins: right now, my plans are undecided but I may go into mechanics or electronics.

Ken Henry: I will attend the University of Iowa this fall. (Ken is deceased, see In Memoriam page)
Bonnie Blackman Hocraffer: I plan to go to school in a few years. I am undecided as to where.

Carolyn Johnson: Next fall I will be attending Waldorf College and majoring in music.
Brian Kay: I will be attending Northwestern University next fall taking pre-med courses.

Robert Pete Kluss: I plan to work this summer and join the service this fall.
Melody Lager: I plan to be married in September and am looking for secretarial work. 2024-I did get married, three times. I've held secretary, bookkeeping, marketing, supervisor and director jobs at ACCO seed, Northrup King, Collins Homes, SDC/Unisys, Broadlawns, Mercy Family Care-Perry. Besides Iowa, I lived in Florida and Massachusetts. Now almost retired, I do billing for a medical clinic and am President of the Board at Heartland Museum. I have one son, Aaron, his wife Erin, and granddaughter Annabelle, living in Memphis. I now live in Dows and am a Winter Texan.
Keith LaRue: I plan to attend ICCC next fall at Fort Dodge.
Leland Loux: I am going to attend Ryder Tech in Des Moines after graduation
Merlin Loux: I will work this summer and farm with my dad.

John Marshall: I plan to attend ICCC this fall majoring in Farm Power Mechanics
Judy Marshall: I plan to attend DMACC in Ankeny this fall, majoring in Clerical Work. 2024-I am married to Kevin Ofstethun and we live in Clarion. We have 2 married daughters, Angela & Amanda. They blessed us with 4 grandchildren. After high school I went to college and then worked at Central Soya in Belmond, then 20 years at Brenton Bank, 3 years at the Clarion Care Center and 15 years at the Clarion hospital before I retired. I am now a substitute for para associates at school. I am also the church treasurer and organist/pianist.
Kevin McHale: I plan to go to ISU, then join the AFROTC.
Mark Menke: I plan to attend Fort Dodge ICCC.
Kim Moller:I am planning to attend Waldorf this fall majoring In Special Education

Connie Musgrove: I will attend Marlon College, taking a double major in Biology and Pre-Med

Deanne Nail: I plan to attend AI B in Des Moines to become a legal or medical secretary
Connie Nelson: I plan to take Nursing at ICCC in Ft. Dodge
Laura Odland: I plan to attend Waldorf College in Forest City and go into Elementary Education
Wanda Pigman: I plan to attend Hamilton Business College in Mason City to become a legal secretary.
Barb Post: I will attend DMAC taking a course as an Executive Secretary.
Terry Prehm: I am planning to attend Des Moines Area Community College taking Child Development.
Scott Radechel: I will attend Wartburg College in Waverly this fall.
Tim Reed: I am thinking of joining the Navy.(Tim is deceased, see in Memoriam page)
Steve Reiland: I will be employed at Sieg Company here in Clarion.
Jim Schaeffer: I plan to work for a few years, and then maybe go into the service. 2024-I have been enjoying retired life for the last 3 years after being employed by Hagie Manufacturing for 23 years. My wife Cindy & I will be celebrating 42 years of marriage this September. We have 7 grandchildren that range in ages from 14 years to 10 months. 3 boys and 4 girls. Best role ever being grandparents.
Randy Schaumberg: I plan to farm with my father.
Steve Sebby: I will be attending the University of Iowa this fall. Steve came back to Clarion and took over the hardware store. He continued to work there after a debilitating motor accident. (Steve is deceased, see In Memoriam page)
Bruce Siefken: I plan to attend ISU and major in Forestry. 2024-I've been married 41 years, live in Wellsburg, Iowa. I have two sons, one is in Iowa and the other in North Carolina.
Paula Shillington: I will be attending Des Moines Area II this fall for programming. I never envisioned how the last 50 years would turn out. 2024-Rod Edwards and I have three kids. While no longer married, we remain friends and see each other at grandchildren events. We have twin boys for grandchildren plus two step-grandchildren. I took a temp job at a chamber of commerce in CA back in 1982. Other staff members would quit and I would move up in the organization. In 1989, I was named CEO of the Stockton Chamber and the staff became my CA family. I married a sheriff named Walt in 1992. We did a lot of country western dancing. Walt passed away 8 months after we got married from kidney cancer. About that time, Barney came to work for me at the chamber and we were married in 1994. Highlight of our time together has been international travel and spending two winters on our sailboat in the Sea of Cortez in MX. When we retired to Green Valley, AZ in 2004, I took all kinds of classes for the arts. Five years ago, I went through an academy for the Sheriff Auxiliary. I enjoy the patrols, assisting at events and teaching new recruits. Every shift, I hear thank you and how much they appreciate our help. It has been rewarding and good for keeping me on my toes. We enjoy living in Green Valley where several other Clarion folks live in the area. It is a small world. I still throw people off when I refer to home and I mean Iowa. Clarion will always be home to me though I doubt I will ever tolerate winters again. Paula Shillington Edwards Banks McCloskey!

Bill Soesbe: I have enlisted in the US Air Force and will be taking Mechanics. 2024-I got married June 23 last year, and we have six children 2 are mine and 4 steps. 14 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild. My wife, Mary Beth has two of my step children and four are her grandchildren. Both of us are retired and live in Clarion.
Barb Spencer: I plan to attend Iowa Lutheran school of nursing in Des Moines.
Karla Stansberry: I am going to Alacale College for 2 years, then go into the Navy for nursing. (Karla is deceased, see In Memoriam page)
Lyle Steiner: I will attend ICCC at Ft. Dodge, majoring in Elevator and Farm Supply Management. (Lyle is deceased, see In Memoriam page)
Peg Stevens: I will be attending WestMar College majoring in Physical Therapy. 2024-imarried Mike Clutter (‘71 graduate) on October 21, 2016.
I have 2 sons: Marty (‘00 graduate). Marty passed away May 2nd, 2018 of end stage renal disease. He has one son, Tristan Fletcher, 19 years old. My only grandchild. Greg (‘04 graduate) is married to Sara, works for FedEx and has 3 dogs and lives in Cedar Falls. I retired June 30th, 2022 from Clarion-Goldfield-Dows High School after 31 years as the high school secretary. I keep very busy with volunteering, crafts, my pretzel business & attending Iowa State Cyclones athletic events. We have also taken up camping and very much enjoy the outdoors & visiting new sights.
Pat Studer: I plan to attend Hamilton Business College in Mason City next fall. In 1976 I started school at Utah State. I met my husband Gary there and we married in 1979. We moved to Twin Falls Idaho where he worked for Asgrow Seed Co, vegetable division. I finished my nursing degree there.
We have 3 children, Collin is in Washington state, he and his wife have a baby girl who turns one on June 1.Christine and her fiance live in Ashland Oregon,and Austin, lives across town from us with his wife and 5 kids. Their baby boy also turns one on June 1.After Austin graduated from high school, we moved to Woodland California for 10 (long) years. I worked there as a home health nurse.We are now retired and living on an acreage near Meridian Idaho, SW of Boise, with our 3 horses, a shop for Gary's woodworking and a sewing room for me. We are enjoying watching the grandkids grow, camping and traveling.
Nancy Thul: I hope to attend ICCC and then UNI, majoring in Social Work or Public Relations. 2024-I was a university professor of business management for 33 years, and now am retired for 9 years. It was a very satisfying career and I remain connected to Kennesaw State University where I was a professor for the last 27 years of my career. Today I am the President of the North Cobb Rotary Club, engaged in service projects for our community. You might recall I was a Rotary Exchange Student to Denmark during our Junior year. So it has been lovely to be involved with Rotary as an adult. I have 4 adult children, one is married.
Laurel Tice: Next fall I'm attending the University of Iowa majoring in Medical Technology. 2024-I have lived in the Rochester, MN, area since graduating from college. I worked at Mayo Clinic in both clinical and research labs for just short of 43 years before retiring in October of 2021. After 5 months of retirement, I was asked to go back supplemental and worked a few hours a month until April of last year. My husband and I have 2 daughters who are both married, and one granddaughter born in May of 2023. Love to spend time with them! I am active in my church, helping with 1st thru 3rd grade Sunday School, and also in a group that makes and donates blankets to various organizations in the area. Larry and I enjoy all the beautiful parks in SE MN by hiking, running, and snowshoeing the trails with friends and I enjoy classes at a local gym that caters to older people. Our days are full and life is good!

Jan White: I am looking for full time work in the business field. 2024-Continue to live and farm in Clarion. Enjoy spending time with our kids and grandkids. (Married Jerry Blackman) I retired from banking in 2020 (china virus year). Enjoy reading, knitting and having coffee with friends!

Pat Cullinan(I’ve been married for 45 years to the same guy, Bob Groff, who I met in college. We have two children, a daughter who is married and has twin 4 year old sons and a son who is free as a bird! I’ve taught Art and Drivers Ed for several years then went into Commercial Insurance for 14 years. After that I went to QVC to work and still work there handling Business Continuity for QVC, HSN, Cornerstone Brands (all of those expensive catalogues that are fun to look at but too expensive to buy, such as Frontgate and Grandin Road). I also handled zulily until we recently sold them. I plan to retire sometime next year even though I love what I do…it’s just time!!! After leaving Clarion in 1973 I moved to Sunnymead, California, then came back to Clarion for a short period then to Mason City for Business School. From there went to Cedar Falls for 3.25 years graduating in education. Then moved to Austin, Minnesota then up to Minneapolis. Then Kansas City, Kansas then back up to Minnesota, this time St. Paul side. Then to Bedford, New Hampshire ending up in our final destination of West Chester, PA (yes just like Jim Borel - small world)! West Chester is where we plan on staying…we love it here!,

I would like to share my new baby Briggs Charles Plagge born April 14th, 9.3 21 3/4”. This was my daughter Abbee’s 1st born thru invitro, cost $37,000 n worth every cent! Cindee Congrats Cindy & family!
